Description:
The Mobile Experiments Lab (MEL) is a wireless-network laptop lab
where economics students can work on economics games, exercises, software,
and data. Consisting of 50 laptops and two servers, the MEL lab is available
by reservation for students to work on interactive economics software, or
by professors and/or teaching assistants who wish to develop software or
to perform research.
An online MEL archive documents MEL lab operations and there is a proposed
plan to add a MEL online reservations system to replace the current manual
process of reserving MEL. Finally, to document the project, a video is in
the works to showcase MEL and discusses the implications of the project.
